深く澄んだ藍色を思い浮かべる方も
多いかと思います。

近年では、グリーンやアクアカラー、
オレンジなど、さまざまな色のカイヤナイトが見られるようになりました。

近頃は質の良いカイヤナイトとの出会いも少なくなりましたが、今回偶然出会うことができたのは、グリーンをベースにブルーバンドが浮かぶ
美しいバイカラーカイヤナイト。
なかなか目にすることのない、特別な石です。

カイヤナイトならではの魅力のひとつが、
結晶の成長によって生まれる独特の縦筋。
さらにこの石は、
方向によってモース硬度が大きく異なるという
珍しい性質を持っています。
そのため宝飾用ルースとして美しくカットするには、熟練した職人の高い技術が必要とされ、
希少価値も高くなります。

丁寧に研磨されたルースは、
ぷるんとした瑞々しい艶をまといながらも、
カイヤナイト特有の表情をしっかりと感じさせてくれます。

In recent years, however, kyanite has been found in a variety of colors, including green, aqua, and orange.
This time, we were fortunate to encounter a beautiful bicolor kyanite featuring a green base with floating blue bands.
Its distinctive appearance is rarely seen.
One of kyanite’s charms is the characteristic striations formed during crystal growth.
It also has the unusual property of differing hardness depending on the direction, making it a gemstone that requires skilled craftsmanship to cut beautifully.
Carefully polished, it reveals a fresh, luscious luster while retaining kyanite’s delicate character.
To showcase its beauty, we chose a simple design.
